Welton Street Corridor

Built 1890–2024

The cultural heart of Five Points — Welton Street between 25th and 30th was once home to 50+ jazz clubs, barbershops, churches, and community institutions. The Rossonian Hotel at 26th and Welton hosted Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, and Miles Davis. Today the corridor is a mix of preserved Victorian row houses, adaptive-reuse commercial buildings, and modern infill townhomes. The Blair-Caldwell Library anchors the northern end. Murals, historic markers, and the annual Five Points Jazz Festival keep the cultural legacy visible. New construction townhomes in the $600K+ range sit alongside 1890s Victorians with original millwork.
