Downtown Bennett
By Jessica Car · Updated April 2026
The original heart of Bennett, a compact grid of streets centered on Palmer Avenue and First Street (CO-79) where early 20th-century bungalows sit alongside mid-century ranch homes and occasional newer infill. The most walkable part of town: King Soopers, High Plains Diner, Happy Burrito, the public library, and the Corridor of Honor military memorial are all within a few blocks. Trupp Park's 7.7-acre complex (skate park, playground, covered pavilion, community garden) anchors the south end. Lots are modest and inventory is scarce, but this is where Bennett's small-town character is most palpable, and where prices remain the most accessible in the community.
