Pheasant Ridge's underlying planned unit development dates to 2000, but the subdivision plat amendment enabling the current phase wasn't recorded until 2018, when Meritage Homes began building the roughly 1,373 to 3,573 square foot single-family homes that now fill the neighborhood. The community has since sold out, with two parks within walking distance providing trail connections through the subdivision. Bridge Street is about 3 minutes from the neighborhood, with US-85 roughly 5 minutes and I-76 about 8, keeping it close to both downtown Brighton and the interstate.
