Summit Grove is a single 1978 plat of 188 homes immediately west of Colorado Boulevard, wrapped around E 133rd and E 134th Avenues with Garfield, Jackson, Harrison and Monroe as its cross streets. Every house went up between 1979 and 1983, and the mix stays even across 58 two story plans, 55 split levels, 39 story and a half designs and 36 ranches, generally 1,600 to 2,200 above grade square feet. Lots are large by Thornton standards, a median near 0.20 acre with the top tenth above a quarter acre, and the planting has had four decades to fill in. Summit Grove Park adjoins the north edge and the Colorado Boulevard Trail runs past the east side.
