Larimer Square / Historic Core
By Jessica Car · Updated April 2026
Denver's original commercial block, Larimer Street between 14th and 15th, anchors the historic heart of LoDo. The 1870s-era Victorian Italianate buildings, saved from demolition by Dana Crawford in 1965, now house chef-driven restaurants, cocktail bars, and independent boutiques beneath a canopy of string lights. Residential options in this zone are overwhelmingly converted warehouse lofts: exposed brick, timber beams, oversized industrial windows, and open floor plans ranging from 700 to 2,500 square feet. Buildings like The Brecht, The Oxford Lofts, and Market Center Lofts define the housing stock. Nightlife is at your doorstep. This is not a quiet zone. Offers walkable urban living where dining, entertainment, and the 16th Street Mall are all within a few blocks.
