Arista was platted as the Broomfield Urban Transit Village and has been building since 2008 as live-work lofts, townhomes, paired homes, and apartments rather than detached houses. The US 36 and Broomfield Station sits on Transit Way at the center of it, served by Flatiron Flyer routes FF1, FF2, FF3, and FF5 with parking and bike lockers, and Wadsworth Parkway is a third of a mile west. Arista Sensory Park, Shepsfield Park, and Uptown Community Park are all within walking distance. The 1stBank Center closed on November 30, 2023 and came down in late 2024, leaving that parcel waiting on a mixed-use redevelopment.
