Ken Caryl Valley is unincorporated Jefferson County on a Littleton 80127 address, not part of any city. Johns Manville bought the ranch in 1971 and laid out the housing behind the hogback, a tilted sandstone ridge pushed up about 70 million years ago, and most of the roughly 1,666 homes here were finished by the late 1990s on lots running a tenth of an acre to half an acre. The master association holds about 4,800 acres of private open space and runs the Ranch House on South Continental Divide Road, the Community Center on Club Drive, an equestrian center, an outdoor pool with lap lanes and a waterslide, and tennis and pickleball courts. Ken Caryl Avenue is the single road through the hogback, running east to C-470 and South Kipling Parkway.
