West Saint Vrain covers newer construction in southwest Longmont, built mostly since 2010 on lots from a tenth to a fifth of an acre, with townhomes still being added along its street grid. Golden Ponds, a hundred-acre park with fishing ponds and paved trails, is close by, and the Boulder County Fairgrounds, home to the annual county fair and rodeo, sits about a mile and a half southeast along Nelson Road.
