Metzler Ranch takes its name from the Metzlers' homestead, built in 1899 and run as Sunny Slope Dairy into the 1960s before Melody Homes developed the land from the early 1990s through 2002. Single-family houses here run 2,000 to 3,500 square feet, with 1,400-to-1,800-square-foot townhomes, on lots of 4,500 to 6,500 square feet. The neighborhood pool, pickleball and tennis courts, and connecting trails sit alongside Metzler Ranch Park on Trail Boss Drive. Plum Creek Boulevard and Wolfensberger Road both connect to I-25 in about 5 minutes, and South Ridge Elementary and Castle Rock Middle School serve the area.
