This is unincorporated Douglas County, not the Town of Castle Rock and not the City of Castle Pines, although the mail is addressed to Castle Rock 80108. The Village at Castle Pines spreads 2,800 acres of old growth ponderosa across elevations of 6,000 to 6,500 feet, holding roughly 1,900 custom estates and patio homes begun in 1981. Two clubs anchor it, the Castle Pines Golf Club that hosts the BMW Championship and the Country Club at Castle Pines with its two Jack Nicklaus courses. The Canyon Club adds five tennis and four pickleball courts, the Summit Club a zero entry pool, and 13 miles of paved, groomed and natural trails link two pocket parks. Five staffed gates open onto Happy Canyon Road and the I-25 interchange, about 4.5 miles north of downtown Castle Rock.
