Columbine Valley

Columbine Valley is a statutory town in far western Arapahoe County, incorporated on July 2, 1959 around the 295 acre Heckendorf Farm, so it is a separate municipality bordering Littleton rather than a Littleton neighborhood. Homes date from 1955 through 2020 on third acre to full acre lots, and the town covers just under one square mile. Columbine Country Club opened in 1955 with a Henry Hughes championship layout of 7,427 yards, hosted the 1967 PGA Championship, added a 45,000 square foot clubhouse in 2017, and had Rees Jones rework the course in 2018. A nine hole par three course, seven tennis courts and a pool round out the grounds. South Platte Canyon Road and West Bowles Avenue are the through routes, with C-470 five minutes south.
