Double E Ranch is a 132-home subdivision that Remington Homes built mostly between 2003 and 2006 on the ground between Alkire Street and Ward Road, north of W 78th Avenue. Plans are two-story and ranch, roughly 1,900 to 3,000 square feet above grade with finished basements taking some past 4,000, on lots from about 4,500 square feet to a third of an acre, and garages hold two or three cars. A homeowners association of about $84 a month covers common-area grounds and trash service. The Youth Memorial Sports Complex and its baseball and softball fields sit at 7619 Alkire Street just to the southwest, and Standley Lake Regional Park, with a 1,063-acre reservoir, is a short drive north. Ward Road and W 78th Avenue are the ways out, with Wadsworth Boulevard about 5 minutes east and I-70 reached south on Ward Road.
