Whisper Creek spreads over 200 acres of sloping prairie at Indiana Street and West 90th Avenue on Arvada's northwest edge, with 37 percent of the ground held as open space and threaded by paved walking and bike trails. Remington Homes built the original mix of townhomes, patio homes, single-family and estate homes starting in 2004, and Lennar added a newer townhome phase along West 90th Drive. A community pool, tennis courts, a ball field and a clubhouse sit inside the neighborhood, and the 3,000-acre Standley Lake Regional Park, wrapped around a 1,063-acre reservoir, lies just east along West 86th Parkway. That parkway reaches Wadsworth Boulevard in about 5 minutes and US-36 in about 10.
