Lakecrest is a multi-era stretch along the south shore of Standley Lake, where mid-century ranches on lots up to half an acre share streets with custom builds and later filings, the oldest homes dating to 1955. The Lakecrest Cape filing is the most uniform piece, 214 homes between West 86th Parkway and Newcombe Street built from 1984 to 1994 with 2,000 to 4,000 finished square feet on lots from 6,000 square feet to a quarter acre, served by its own pool and tennis courts. The 3,000-acre Standley Lake Regional Park, wrapped around a 1,063-acre reservoir, begins at the neighborhood's northern edge with paved shoreline trails. West 86th Avenue and Simms Street lead to Wadsworth Boulevard in about 5 minutes, and the Lake Arbor Center outdoor pool is 3.5 miles east.
