Scenic Heights sits on a hilltop around W 68th Avenue, Carr Street and Garrison Street, where single-family homes built between 1960 and 1985 occupy cul-de-sac lots of 0.15 to 0.30 acres, many with sightlines west to the Front Range and east to the downtown Denver skyline. Majestic View Park begins about half a mile north at W 72nd Avenue: 80 acres of wetland and prairie with almost 2 miles of paved and gravel trail, a nature center open since 2002, a 25,000-square-foot demonstration garden and Oberon Lake, dug in 1887 for the old town of Oberon. The Arvada Center for the Arts is about a mile east on Wadsworth Boulevard, and Olde Town Arvada with its G Line station is roughly 1.5 miles to the southeast. Wadsworth is a 3-minute drive and I-70 about 5 minutes.
