Alta Vista fills the grid between Wadsworth Boulevard and Estes Street from Oberon Road south toward Ralston Road, about 985 homes built from 1954 to 1963, mostly ranches and bi-levels with 1,100 to 2,700 finished square feet and 1- or 2-car garages, some detached, plus a scattering of duplexes and townhomes. Lots run 7,000 square feet to a fifth of an acre with no HOA. Sunrise Park at 6775 Jay Street has a playground, a half-court basketball pad lined for pickleball and a grass field, Lew Walsh Park at 6856 Otis Street adds a second playground, and Ralston Central Park with its splash pad is 0.6 miles away.
