The Hearth is a roughly 400-home Shea and Berkeley subdivision built from 2005 to 2011 on the southeast side of Highlands Ranch, west of Monarch Boulevard and McArthur Ranch Road, with Shea's Overlook Collection along Pinewalk Way. Plans span about 1,700 to more than 5,000 square feet on lots of 0.10 to 0.20 acres, many with vaulted main levels and finished lower levels. A separate Hearth homeowners association, incorporated in 2010, runs a private clubhouse, pool, fitness room and tennis courts and bills monthly on top of HRCA dues. Trails lead straight into the Backcountry Wilderness Area, and Southridge Recreation Center on McArthur Ranch Road, with Paintbrush Park beside it, is the nearest HRCA facility. Wildcat Reserve Parkway reaches Broadway and C-470 in about 10 minutes.
