Aurora 7 takes its name from the Mercury capsule Scott Carpenter flew in 1962, and its single-family houses date from about 1960 to 1985 on lots of 0.12 to 0.20 acres, original ranch plans now mixed with newer infill. Aurora 7 Park at 3805 Aurora Avenue anchors the middle of it, holding a baseball diamond, open turf, a playground, and an outdoor classroom whose features include a stained glass sun dial, all on a site shared with Boulder Community School of Integrated Studies. Flatirons views open west from many of the lots. Arapahoe Avenue is three minutes north and the US-36 interchange about five minutes out.
