Village East is a 1960s-to-1980s subdivision of ranch and split-level homes on large lots south of Mississippi Ave, between Havana St and Peoria St in ZIP 80012. Village East Park and Village East Elementary at 1433 South Oakland St share the center of the neighborhood, Canterbury Park is a few blocks west on Joliet St, and Utah Park with its indoor pool is about a half mile south. The elementary is a Cherry Creek School District school, and Prairie Middle and Overland High share a campus on Jewell Ave less than a mile southeast. Mississippi Ave and Havana St carry most traffic out, I-225 is about 5 minutes east, and the Anschutz Medical Campus is roughly 3.5 miles north on Peoria St.
