Sterling Hills fills the block between Jewell Avenue and Yale Avenue from Tower Road to Gun Club Road, directly south of Buckley Space Force Base. Fourteen filings were platted from 1994 to 2005, the west half under the Sterling Hills West Metropolitan District approved by the city in 1999, and the result is two-story single-family homes on lots of roughly 0.10 to 0.20 acres, newer and larger than the 1970s stock west of Tower Road. Sterling Hills Park, Sterling Hills West Park and Great Plains Park with its two splash pads are inside the neighborhood, and Quincy Reservoir is about eight minutes south. E-470 is roughly five minutes east, Side Creek Elementary sits inside the boundary on Iliff Place, and Aurora Public Schools assign Mrachek Middle and Rangeview High rather than Cherry Creek schools; verify by address.
