Pheasant Run covers about 575 acres south of Quincy Avenue, from just west of Chambers Road to Buckley Road, and its 13 plat filings run from 1971 through 1983, including a 1973 townhome filing, so most of the single-family homes, townhomes and condos date to the 1970s. Smoky Hill High School sits inside the neighborhood on East Smoky Hill Road, with Independence Elementary on South Memphis Street and Laredo Middle School at the southern edge, all in the Cherry Creek School District.
