Writer Ridge is a Northridge subdivision of single-family homes built between 1988 and 1996 on lots of roughly 0.15 to 0.25 acres, laid out on cul-de-sac streets with more than 30 years of tree growth along them. There is no sub-association: the only dues are the HRCA quarterly assessment, which covers the four recreation centers, and Northridge Recreation Center on South Broadway is the closest of them. Toepfer Park, rebuilt in 2026 with a new playground, shelter and concrete trails, and Sand Creek Park, a picnic green on Green Meadows Drive, are the nearest Metro District parks, and the greenbelt trail system links both. Broadway carries traffic to C-470 in about 5 minutes and to the I-25 express lanes in about 10.
