Stonegate is a census-designated place of about 1.8 square miles in unincorporated Douglas County with a Parker mailing address and a 2020 census population of 9,072. It straddles Lincoln Avenue between Chambers Road and Jordan Road with E-470 as its north edge, and holds more than 3,600 homes in eight subdivisions built from 1986 to 2021, from condos and townhomes to Richmond American single-family plans on lots up to a quarter acre. Two district pools serve the community, a beach-entry north pool on Shenstone Court beside Mammoth Heights Elementary and a south pool with slides, a diving well and lap lanes, joined by tennis, pickleball and sand volleyball courts and a ball field. About 14 miles of internal trails tie into the Cherry Creek Regional Trail, the E-470 interchanges are about 2 minutes away, and Parker Road is about 3 minutes east.
