Stony Creek spreads over more than 700 homesites west of Wadsworth Boulevard and north of Ken Caryl Avenue in Jefferson County, platted in stages from the mid 1970s to the mid 1990s. The mix runs two story and ranch single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums and a patio home section, most between 1,200 and 2,300 square feet on lots of 5,000 to 8,000 square feet, laid out as small pockets rather than one grid. Stony Creek Elementary stands inside the neighborhood about a fifth of a mile from its center, with Valley View Park and Victory Park each under half a mile. Wadsworth is a quarter mile east for the Ken Caryl Avenue shops, and C-470 is roughly five minutes south.
